The Stock Gaylard Estate is a small traditional estate near Kings Stag in North Dorset.
The Estate is approximately 1800 acres with around 250 acres of predominantly
oak woodland, 70 acres of common land and an 85 acre deer park
around a picturesque lake.
Stock Gaylard House is an early Georgian house and was the home of the Yeatman family.
In close proximity to the house is the Parish church of St Barnabas, the stable block
and the 14th century dovecote.
Over the last couple of hundred years the Estate has been used for country sports and the hedgerows
and woodlands preserved for that purpose. The result is an unspoilt environment comprising many
locally and nationally rare species of animal and plant life.
