This is why you should buy a yurt from us.
We make yurts using ash from the estate. The ash all came from trees on the estate and was milled by the woodmizers Pol Berguis (Black dog sawmilling) and Paul Courage. Once cut into planks the timber was taken to Jamie Ross’ workshop where it was milled to size. These timbers were then steamed in our homemade steamer.
The canvas covers were hand made and fitted by Cath Pratley with her fifteen years of experience. Each yurt is individual so this process takes precision and time.
They are all finished to a very high standard and can be bought packed and ready to assemble.
Alternatively they can be sold fully kitted out ready to use with matching furniture, much of it designed and made by cabinet maker Jamie Ross in his workshop on the estate.
Some of our yurts are now being let out as quality accommodation for people looking to have a special holiday nestled beside one of our oak woodlands on the estate.
